Curious Minds Presents:
"Politics and Climate Change:
Where Do We Go from Here?"
"The presentation by Charles Feinstein will begin with a brief review of where the globe stands in combatting climate change, including the commitments of the United States to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This will be followed by a synopsis of the main energy and climate change related policy and budget/tax measures enacted by Executive Order and Congressional legislation. The talk will conclude with a summary evaluation of the impact of these measures vis-a-vis the science-driven roadmap for climate action framed by the landmark 2015 Paris Accord adopted by 195 nations."
"Charles ('Chas') Feinstein retired in 2016 after a 30 year career at the World Bank in Washington, DC, where he served as the Bank's first Team Leader for Climate Change and then Director of its Global Energy Practice. Trained in Electrical Engineering and Resource Economics, Chas has consulted for the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the World Resources Institute and the OECD."
Beverages and light refreshments will be served.
Parking is somewhat limited so please carpool if possible.
